#SaveBengal -Condemning atrocities on Hindu Families in West Bengal, protest organised by Citizens for Democracy at Bengaluru

Bengaluru July 8, 2017: Condemning increasing atrocities, riots and attack on Hindu families in West Bengal, Citizens for Democracy organised massive protest in front of Mahatma Gandhi Statue near Mourya Hotel in Bengaluru.

Youth Activist Tejaswi Surya, Anil Chalagiri, ABVP functionary Tanmayi Sringar, Citizens forum Coordinators Radhakrishna Holla, Rajesh Padmar addressed the protest gathering. Protestors raised slogans against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, condemning her govt’s anti-Hindu policies and Muslim appeasement policy.

Addressing the gathering Tejasvi Surya expressed grave concern over the unabated rise in violence by Jehadi elements in West Bengal, encouragement to the anti-national elements by the state government due to its Muslim vote bank politics and declining Hindu population in the state of West Bengal.

Radhakrishna Holla strongly condemned the extremist violence and the Muslim appeasement policy by the State Government and called upon the countrymen to create awareness against this Jehadi violence and communal politics of the State Government. He also urged the media to present the prevalent grave situation before the country.

Shraddhanjali to slain RSS Swayamsevak Sharath Bantwal:

At the protest venue, Candle Light tributes were paid to Sri Sharath Madivala, RSS Swayamsevak who was hacked to death at Bantwal near Mangaluru by suspected Jehadi terrorists. Addressing on the occasion Rajesh Padmar demanded the state govt to take immediate action, to do an impartial probe and to arrest the culprits immediately. ‘State govt should ensure the safety of social workers, Sharath was the 12th RSS Swayamsevak to be hacked to death in last 2 years in Karnataka, it is really a shocking situation’ he said.

A pictorial tribute was also paid on the occasion by few artists.

Nearly 300 activists participated in the protest gathering.
