Hindu Hitarakshana Samiti, in all districts of the state condemning the increasing murders of Hindu activists. BJP,Vishwa Hindu Parishat(VHP), Bhajarang Dal, Hindu Jagarana Vedike and many organizations supported and participated in the protests.
There has been a rampant increase in the killing of Hindu activists by the fundamentalist Muslim groups like the PFI, SDPI in the last few years particularly after CM Siddaramaiah assumed power in the state of Karnataka. The brutal killings have no personal animosity but targeted in instilling fear among Hindus and also disturb the harmony of the society.
Paresh Mesta in Honnavara is the recent vicitim of such killing and 20 other Hindu activists have been killed so far and the government is a silent eye to it. The demands of the Hindu Hitarakshana Samiti include. It is over a year Rudresh was murdered in wee hours of the city and chargesheet has been filed against 5 criminals by the state police and NIA who is investigating the case and all the five have had responsibilities in organizations like PFI and SDPI.
