Bangalore/New Delhi Sept 11: On Wednesday morning across India, lakhs of young men-women participated in Bharat-Doud (Run for India) marathon, to commemorate 150th Birth and 120th Chicago speech anniversary of legendary saint, Swami Vivekananda.
BANGALORE- ‘Bharat Doud’
In Bangalore, the Bharat Doud was started at 3 simultaneous points including Swami Vivekananda Circle near Ramakrishna Ashrama of Basavanagudi and finally converged in historic National High school grounds. Noted scholar Dr Chidananda Murthy, Dr Vijayalakshmi Balekundri, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Bouddhik Pramukh Bhagaiah, RSS Senior Pracharak Na Krishnappa, RSS Pranth Karyavah N Tippeswamy were present during the inaugural of the marathon. Nearly 5000 youth were participated in the Bharat Doud.
KASARAGOD: Run for BAHARAT
At Kasaragod, the extreme northern district in Kerala ‘Run for Bharat’ was held successfully on Wednesday morning; nearly 100 youth participated. Top RSS leaders including Kshetreeya Seva Pramukh Gopal Chettiyar participated in marathon which was inaugurated by noted social leader CV Poduval.
At Shivamogga, nearly 2000 youth took part in Bharat Doud. RSS Kshethreeya Sampark Pramukh Dr Kalladka Prabhakara Bhat addressed the marathon. Amazing response from college students in Shivamogga, as of the 2000, the strength of 1600 was constituted by only college students of the city.
