सूरत, गुजरात March 21: राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के सह सरकार्यवाह डॉ कृष्ण गोपाल जी ने कहा कि आज भारतीय कालगणना का नववर्ष आज सूर्योदय के साथ प्रारंभ हो गया है. हमारी कालगणना बहुत प्राचीन है. भारतीय मनीषियों, ज्योतिष और गणितज्ञों के द्वारा यह सब संभव हुआ. काशी में दश्मेश घाट के पास वैदिक शाला में इन सारी गणना के यंत्र है. जिन्हें देख लोग आश्चर्यचकित रह जाते है.

पश्चिम जगत में 10 महीने में साल पूरा होता था. जूलियस सीज़र तथा अगस्तों के नाम पर दो महीने बाद में जोड़े गए. इस तरह वहां भी वर्ष 12 महीनों का होने लगा. परन्तु आज भी उस कैलेंडर में बहुत त्रुटियां है.

आज ही के दिन राम का राज्याभिषेक हुआ था, आर्यसमाज के स्थापक स्वामी दयानंद सरस्वतीजी का आज जन्मदिन है, विक्रमादित्य ने शकों को हराकर विक्रम संवत शुरू किया. ऐसे सैकड़ों श्रेष्ठ पुरुषों का इतिहास आज के दिन से जुड़ा है. राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के लिए आज विशेष दिन है क्योंकि आज ही के दिन पू. डॉक्टर साहब का जन्मदिन है.

डॉक्टर साहब ने स्वयं को प्रसिद्धि से दूर रखा और कहीं भी अपने चिंतन को प्रसिद्द नहीं किया. उन्होंने बताया कि संघ कार्य व्यक्तिनिष्ठ नहीं होना चाहिए, यह कार्य तत्वनिष्ठ एवं ध्येयनिष्ठ होना चाहिए. डॉक्टर साहब ने चिंतन किया कि बाहर से आये आक्रमणकारियों ने इस देश को बहुत कष्ट दिया है. हमने 2500 साल तक इस कष्ट को सहन किया है. आक्रांता विश्व की अनेक सभ्यताओं को नष्ट करते हुए भारत तक पहुंचे थे. डॉक्टर साहब ने इसका गहन विश्वेषण किया कि विश्व को नेतृत्व प्रदान करने वाले हमारे देश की यह दशा क्यों हुई? उन्होंने चिंतन के पश्चात चार आर्य सत्य खोज निकाले.

डॉक्टर साहब ने समाज का विश्लेषण कर पाया कि हिन्दुओं का आत्मबोध समाप्त हो गया था. अंग्रेज सबसे धूर्त थे. विलियम जोन्स ने सुनियोजित योजना के तहत हमारे इतिहास को बदला. भारतीय चिंतन की श्रेष्ठता, हमारे महान पूर्वजों का उल्लेख भी उन्होंने योजनाबद्ध तरीके से इतिहास से दूर किया. अंग्रेज जहां जहां भी गए, उन देशों की सभ्यता, संस्कृति, त्यौहार, भाषा सबको समाप्त करने के लिए योजनाबद्ध रूप से कार्य करते गए और यही उन्होंने भारत में भी किया. उन्होंने कहा आर्य बाहर से आये थे, आर्यों एवं द्रविड़ों का हमेशा झगडा होता था. इस तरह के अनेक अपप्रचार उन्होंने किये.

डॉक्टर साहब ने एकरस समाज- एक बोध का यह हिन्दू समाज बनाने की दिशा में चिंतन किया. उन्होंने स्कूल, कॉलेज, अस्पताल नहीं खोले, अनाथालय नहीं चलाये, बल्कि उन्होंने कहा कि थोड़े बहुत देशभक्तों से, दो चार महापुरुषों से हमारे देश की समस्या का समाधान नहीं होने वाला. उन्होंने कहा कि लाखों लोगों के जनमानस को देशभक्त बनाना है. तभी हमारा देश पुन: गौरवशाली बन सकेगा.

इसके लिए उन्होंने संघरूपी अभिनव प्रयोग करना प्रारंभ किया और संस्कार सर्जन का कार्य छोटे-छोटे बच्चों से शुरू किया. यही छोटे छोटे बालक बड़े होकर संघ कार्य को बढ़ाने के लिए जम्मू से लेकर केरल तक पहुंच गए जो विश्व परिद्रश्य पर एक अनोखा कार्य था. साथ मिलकर शाखा पर कार्यक्रम करते करते सारे भेद समाप्त कर समरस दिशा में समाज बढ़ने लगा. जहां सारे जातिभेद, प्रांतभेद, भाषाभेद सब समाप्त हो गए. भारत माता की जय बोलते बोलते सभी के मन में यह भाव उत्पन्न हो गया कि मेरा शरीर भारत माता के काम आये.

आज पूरा विश्व देखता है कि संघ जैसे सबसे बड़े संगठन की जिसने रचना की इतिहास में उनका कही स्थान नहीं है. परन्तु संघ कार्य का विराट दर्शन होता है. 50,000 से अधिक शाखाएं आज हैं और एक लाख से अधिक सेवाकार्य संघ के स्वयंसेवक चलाते हैं. स्वयंसेवक स्वाभाविक रूप से सेवा कार्य करते करते संपूर्ण समाज की चिंता करता है. समाज के बाहर गए हिन्दू को पुन: वापस लाने का दायित्व भी हमारा है. दुःख, अपमान के समय जो अन्य धर्मो में चले गए, उनकी घरवापसी का दायित्व भी हमारा है. घर वापसी और शुद्धीकरण के कार्यक्रम 7वीं सदी से चल रहे हैं और इसकी एक लंबी श्रृंखला है. घरवापसी कार्यक्रम करके हम अपने पूर्वजों का ऋण उतारेंगे.

भारत सभी का सम्मान करता है. संविधान निर्माताओं ने संविधान में सेक्युलर शब्द नहीं डाला है क्योंकि वे जानते थे कि भारत ने सभी का सम्मान किया है और यह हिन्दुओं के रक्त में है, लेकिन बाद में यह शब्द संविधान में जोड़ा गया. समाज जीवन में संपूर्ण समरसता करने का कार्य हमारा ही है. जिसे हमें पूर्ण निष्ठा से करना है.

प.पू. भगवाध्वज, मंच पर विराजमान उपस्थित अधिकारीगण, स्वयंसेवक बंधुओ, हम आज हिन्दू पंचांग के अनुसार नववर्ष में प्रवेश कर रहे हैं. आज ही के दिन से ब्रह्माजी ने सृष्टि का निर्माण प्रारंभ किया. आज ही के दिन रावण का वध कर भगवान राम ने अयोध्या में प्रवेश किया. आदर्श प्रशासन देने वाले प्रभु श्री राम ने आदर्श सुशासन के रूप में राम राज्य दिया.

राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के संदर्भ में जब हम सोचते है तो संघ के संस्थापक डॉ साहब का जन्मदिन भी आज ही है. वास्तव में आज का यह पर्व हमें कई बातों का स्मरण करने का सुअवसर देता है. भारत का जन्म कब हुआ. विश्व के अनेक देश अपना जन्मदिन बता सकते है, परन्तु भारत के बारे में कोई नहीं जानता क्योंकि मानव संस्कृति का जन्म स्थान भारत ही हैं. हजारों – लाखों वर्षों का इतिहास है भारत का. यह बात अपने मन में स्वाभिमान, सन्मान का भाव प्रकट करती है.

भारत की परंपरा हमेशा देने की रही हैं. हम कभी भी कहीं लेने नहीं गए. जिस प्रकार की स्पर्धा का युग हम आज देख रहे है, उसमें सही दिशा देने वाला भारत ही हैं. आज विश्व मानता है कि समस्त मानवजाति के लिये मार्गदर्शक भारत ही बन सकता हैं. कोई भी परम्परा, जीवन शैली वर्षानुवर्ष में बनती है, यह कोई पाठ्यक्रम का विषय नहीं है, समाज जीवन विकसित होते होते हम यहां तक पहुंचे है. आज विश्व मानता है भारत की यह विशेषता समस्त मानवजाति का मार्गदर्शक बन सकती है. हम अपने आपको हिन्दू कहते हैं तो यह हमारे लिए गौरव का, स्वाभिमान का विषय है.

मानव इतिहास में संघर्ष हमेशा होता रहा है. धर्मग्रंथों के अनुसार ध्यान में आता है कि दैवी शक्ति के सामने हमेशा आसुरी शक्ति, सत्य के सामने असत्य, धर्म के सामने अधर्म हमेशा खड़ा रहा है. लेकिन इतिहास में जीत हमेशा सत्य, न्याय तथा धर्म की ही हुई है.

अगर हम अपने इतिहास को देखते है तो ध्यान में आता है कि निरंतर आक्रमण झेलते हुए भी हम अपने अस्तित्व को बचाने में सफल हुए. हमारा अस्तित्व नामशेष नहीं हुआ. उसका एक कारण है हमारी समाज व्यवस्था विकेन्द्रित हैं. अतः हमारे आस्था केन्द्रों पर आक्रमण हुए, श्रद्धा स्थान तोड़े गए, लेकिन समाज व्यवस्था सलामत रही, आस्था केन्द्र फिर से खड़े हुए.

आक्रांताओं ने हमारा ज्ञान समाप्त करने का प्रयत्न किया, नालंदा-तक्षशिला के हजारों ग्रंथों को अग्नि को समर्पित कर दिया गया. लेकिन समाज समाप्त नहीं हुआ. सिकंदर की कथा है ” किसी ने सिकंदर से कहा यदि हिन्दुओं के वेद ग्रंथों को समाप्त कर दिया जाये तो समाज समाप्त हो जायेगा. एक पंडितजी जिनके यहां वेद ग्रन्थ थे, उनकी कुटिया में सैनिकों को भेजा गया. सैनिकों ने कहा हमारे महाराज ने वेद ग्रन्थ मंगवाये है. पंडितजी ने अगले दिन सुबह आने को कहा, पूरी रात सैनिक कुटिया को धेरे रहे कहीं पंडित ग्रंथो को लेकर भाग न जाये. सुबह जब सैनिकों ने कुटिया में प्रवेश किया तो देखा पंडितजी वेद ग्रन्थ का अंतिम पेज अग्नि को समर्पित कर रहे थे. सैनिकों के नाराज होने पर उन्होंने कहा मेरे पुत्र को आप ले जाओ उसे वेद कंठस्ठ है तात्पर्य यह है कि वेदों को ले जाने से ज्ञान समाप्त नहीं हो जाता.”

आक्रांताओं ने समाज को मानसिक रूप से गुलाम बनाने का प्रयास किया, सुख सुविधाएं प्रदान करो और समाज को बांटो, नयी शिक्षण प्रणाली अंग्रेजों द्वारा लागू की गई, अंग्रेज सेवा के माध्यम से आये हिन्दू समाज को धर्मांतरण के माध्यम से तोड़ने का प्रयास किया गया. कुछेक अपवादों को छोड़कर वे इसमें भी सफल नहीं हुए. हमारे समाज में कई कमियां रही हैं तथा हैं. परन्तु हमारे समाज की बहुकेंद्रित व्यवस्था के तहत धर्म ग्रंथों, समाज सुधारकों, साधू संतों के माध्यम से समाज को जोड़ने का प्रयत्न निरंतर चलता रहा. राजा आये चले गए, लेकिन राष्ट्र खड़ा रहा. समाज पर आने वाली बाधाओं को पार करते हुए हमें आगे बढ़ना है, यही भारत की नियति है, भारत को मालूम है, उसे कहां जाना है. हिमालय से निकलने वाले जलप्रवाह को मालूम है, उसको कहां पहुंचना है उसका गंतव्य समुद है. जल का स्वाभाव है बाधाओं के सामने वह रुकता नहीं है, वह अपने गंतव्य तक पहुंचता ही है.

व्यक्तिगत जीवन में संस्कार किसी पाठशाला में नहीं मिलते, उसकी कोई परीक्षा नहीं होती, उसका संबंध व्यवहार से जुडा है. संस्कारों की शिक्षा मंदिरों, आश्रमों तथा परिवार में ही प्राप्त होती है. आज देवालय व्यवस्था में आई कमियां हमारे लिए चिंता का कारण है. धार्मिक आस्था के केंद्र कोर्ट का दरवाजा खटखटाते हो तो समाज को पीड़ा होती है. सामान्य व्यक्ति को आघात लगता है. मंदिर केवल कर्मकांड के स्थान नहीं बनने चाहिए. वहां से समाज को निरंतर प्रबोधन होना चाहिए. पहले यह निरंतर होता था. वह प्रभावी रूप से पुनः प्रारंभ होना चाहिए.
हमारे विद्यालय व्यक्ति निर्माण का केंद्र होने चाहिए. हमें यह ध्यान रखना होगा कि शिक्षा व्यवसाय न बन जाये. शिक्षा व्यवस्था में आई कमी वर्तमान में हम सबके सामने चुनौती है. शिक्षण संस्थाओ में डॉक्टर्स, इंजीनियर नहीं मनुष्य बनने चाहिए. समाज उत्थान का केंद्र विद्यालय रहे है उसमें आई विकृतियों को दूर करना है. यह कार्य समय समय पर समाज ने किया है. केवल राजनेता यह नहीं कर सकते. राजा के कार्य की अपनी सीमाएं है. हमारी व्यवस्था राज केन्द्रित नहीं, बल्कि समाज केन्द्रित रही है.

मारी परिवार व्यवस्था में श्रेष्ठ बातों को पीढ़ी दर पीढ़ी संकलित करने की व्यवस्था थी. उसमें कुछ दोष आ गए है. वह भी ठीक करने की आवश्यकता है. आज हमारे ऊपर अलग प्रकार के आक्रमण हो रहे है. हमारी जीवन व्यवस्था, जीवन शैली, नैतिक मूल्यों पर आज चारों तरफ से भीषण आक्रमण हो रहे है. शस्त्रों के आक्रमण को समझा जा सकता है, परन्तु मूल्यों पर होने वाले आक्रमणों को समझना हमारे लिए बहुत बड़ी चुनौती है.

आज के आक्रमणों का स्वरुप मनुष्य को पशुता की ओर ले जाने वाला है. सावधान हुए बिना इससे बच नहीं सकते. आज देश की सभी समस्याओं का कारण, जीवन मूल्यों में नैतिकता का क्षय है. परिवार व कुटुंब व्यवस्था ही इन सब आक्रमणों से सुरक्षित रख सकती है. हमारे यहां चिंतकों ने हम सबके अन्दर एक दृष्टी विकसित की है, एक चिंतन सबके सामने रखा है जो विश्व कल्याण की कामना करता है. हमने कहा है ‘शत्रुबुद्धिविनाशाय’ हम किसी के शत्रु नहीं है, इस सन्देश को यदि दुनिया स्वीकार ले तो कहीं भी शस्त्रों की आवश्यकता नहीं है. भारत का चिंतन कहता है सर्वजन हिताय, सर्वजन सुखाय यानि पूरे विश्व के कल्याण की कामना हमारा चिंतन करता है.

हमारे यहां प्रकृति में मानव जाति के कल्याण का विचार किया गया है. परन्तु आज आज वर्तमान पीढ़ी प्रकृति संसाधनों पर अपना अधिकार मानती है. ऐसे लोग विश्व का कल्याण नहीं कर सकते. जितना अधिक से अधिक हो सके लेने की होड़ लगी है. यह गलत अवधारणा है. आने वाली पीढ़ी के लिए प्राकृतिक संशाधनों की चिंता वर्तमान पीढ़ी को करनी होगी. जितनी आवश्यकता है उतना ही लूंगा यह विश्व को बताना है. आने वाले कालखंड में यदि विश्व में कहीं गलत होता है तो उसका मार्गदर्शन करने का दायित्व हमारा ही होगा, अपने सही आचरण से हमें विश्व को मार्ग बताना है.

संघ का काम इसी अर्थ में हम कर रहे है. हमारा कार्य शक्ति संग्रह, समाज जागरण का है. जिसे हमें पूरी प्रमाणिकता तथा प्रतिबद्धता के साथ करना है. हिन्दू जीवन, हिन्दू चिंतन के मार्ग पर चलते हुए हमें विश्व को मार्गदर्शन करने वाला भारत खड़ा करना है. यही नववर्ष का संदेश है.

Basavanagudi, Bengaluru March 21: ‘Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar who once was an active socio-political leader of Nagpur, came out of the then Congress, did a kind of SWOT (Strength-Weakness-Opportunities-Threat )analysis of the Hindu Society. This society itself should understand and realise the problems and should find the suitable answer for them. To make such a self-thinking society, each individual should be filled with morals and character, Dr Hedgewar founded RSS in 1925. Since its genesis, RSSS focussed on Vyaktinirman, and today RSS has reached all walks of social life widening the horizons’ said V Nagaraj, Kshetreeya Sanghachalak of RSS at Basavanagudi in Bengaluru.

RSS Kshetreeya Sanghachalak V Nagaraj was addressing YUGADI Utsav at APS College Grounds in Basavanagudi Bengaluru, organised by RSS Bengaluru Mahanagar. RSS Swayamsevaks from Vijayanagar, Jayanagar, Banashankari, Shankarapuram zones attended this ceremony.

‘Hedgewar; a true visionary’

V Nagaraj said; “We meet every year on Ugadi. Ugadi is a festival of happiness and gaiety, moreso because Ugadi also signals the beginning of a new season in nature. We celebrate two Ugadi’s, Sauryamana and Chandraman, based on the position of the Sun and the Moon. Celebrating Ugadi hence also has a celestial reason to it. We are proud of this scientific background of this festival. This is our tradition of reason and science.”

“Unlike other new year celebrations, in Ugadi we do not forget ourselves in celebrations alone but take it as an opportunity to look within and understand that we need to be prepared for both good and bad in life. Despite attacks on us for numerous centuries, it is due to this attitude of looking withing and reasoning that we have survived and fought back. Leading lights have always guided us and time to time led us from the front.” he added.

“The birth of Doctor Ji on this auspicious day is divine providence and our good fortune. Though he was  born in abject proverty and faced difficulties, he never let these affect his work or goals. When Doctor Ji was 8 years old, Queen Victoria’s coronation celebrations was being observed all over India. When sweets were distributed in his school, he threw it to the gutter and said that he would not celebrate the coronation of a alien ruler. This was the strong attitude of a 8 year old boy.” said V Nagaraj

Doctor Ji after initial schooling went to Kolkota to study medicine. Here he came in contact of ‘Anusheelan Samiti’ and got  vin revolutionary activities. He was also focused on his studies and secured his degree in medicine. When he returned to Nagpur, he did not choose to work for himself or in government service. Instead he chose to involve in the freedom movement by joining the Congress.

‘Genesis of RSS’

“Despite the poverty back home, he continued to involve in the freedom movement. Though he was known as a promising and able leader in the Congress and could have grown to heights as a politician, he chose to start Sangh work through a shakha. People were surprised to find him spend time with kids at a shakha instead of taking the promising political career. Many ridiculed him for this move. But Doctor Ji believed that instead of just fighting the foreign forces, we should also work towards solving the problems within our society that enabled the foreigners to rule over us. His goal was to make people aware of these faults in society and be able to sustain the freedom we would get. Practices like untouchability, casteism and lack of nationalistic perspective plagued our people and these had to be addressed. To make this happen each member of the society had to grow individually and then contribute to the society was Doctor Ji’s goal in starting Sangh. This is also what we recite daily in our Sangh prarthana.”

“Swami Vivekananda too dreamt of a nation that is spritually strong and socially united in every aspect. He believed that progress will come when these two aspects are taken care of. Doctor Ji put this in action through Sangh.”

“Lakhs of Swayamsevaks have emerged in the path set by Doctor Ji. Many have given their entire life for Sangh’s work. It is these Karyakartas who work for the cause of the nation in various spheres. This was possible only due to the foresight of Doctor Ji who started Sangh.”

Doctor Ji gave his entire effort, in word and spirit, for the cause of Sangh from 1925 to 1940. This took a toll on his health. Today, in these 90 years Sangh has grown and has served in various spheres. As mentioned in the recently conducted ABPS, today there are 51,000+ shakhas in the country. There are 12,000+ weekly milans. We see positive change in the society and a pro-Hindu sentiment in the country. This is due to the relentless efforts of Sangh. For example, World Yoga Day being observed from this year is an indication of this change. The world is watching us due to these recent changes. Hence we have the responsibility to expand our work in more areas in the society and at a faster pace.

Sangh today is equipped to bring lasting changes in the society. While good work is happening in the society, negative work is also happening which is due to selfishness. Prompt officers are killed and atrocities on women are continuing. This is due to the fact that we have forgotten our traditional values.

“We all need to work for the society. I urge every man and women to join in this effort and make Doctor Ji’s dream come true.” said V Nagaraj

Dr BN Gangadhar, RSS Bengaluru Mahanagar Sanghachalak was on the dais. RSS senior functionaries Mai Cha Jayadev, Chandrashekar Bhandary, KS Nagaraj, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sah Bouddhik Pramukh CR Mukunda, RSS Pranth Sah Karyavah Prof BV Sreedhar Swamy, leaders of Sanghaparivar were present.

Swayamsevaks offered ‘Aadya Sarasanghachalak Pranam’, an annual salute to Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the RSS founder and the first Sarasanghachalak of RSS.

They should work in India and they have to utilise their talent for this nation” said Dr Maheshappa, Vice Chancellor of reputed Sir Vishweshwaraiah Technical Institute (VTU) was the chief guest.

He was delivering key note address at PRERANA, a unique event organised by Akhil Bharatiya Vidtarthi Parishat ABVP at Akshaya Institute of Technology in Tumakuru. Noted lawyer Suvrath Kumar, Dr Shivakumar, Dr MB Manjunath, Dr Krishna Murthy, Prof Shambhu Shastri, ABVP Tumakuru City Vice President Prof Irfan and many others were present.

ತುಮಕೂರು  March : ‘ಭಾರತ ಐಐಟಿ, ಐಐಎಮ್, ಐಐಎಸ್‌ಸಿಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ನೂರಾರು ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತರಿಗಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವಿದೇಶದತ್ತ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಹರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು’ ಎಂದು ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರಯ್ಯ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ| ಮಹೇಶಪ್ಪ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅವರು ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಪರಿಷತ್ ತುಮಕೂರಿನ ಅಕ್ಷಯ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದ ‘ಪ್ರೇರಣಾ’ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.

‘ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರು ಈ ದೇಶದ ಯುವಕರಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿ. ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಈ ದೇಶದ ಇಂಜನಿಯರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸರ್. ಎಂ. ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರಯ್ಯನವರು ಆದರ್ಶ. ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರಯ್ಯನವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಪೂರ್ವವಾದ ಬುಧ್ದಿ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಈ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಅನೇಕ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ, ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡರು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಿಗೂ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಇಂದಿನ ಇಂಜನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರಾಜೆಕ್ಟ್‌ಗಳು ಸಮಾಜದ ಅನೇಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರ ನೀಡುವಂತವುಗಳಾಗಬೇಕು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮಗೆ ಸಿಗುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅನುಕೂಲಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯಾಗಬಲ್ಲ ಪ್ರಾಜೆಕ್ಟ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಬೆಕು. ಈ ರೀತೀಯ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ನೀಡಲು ಅಭಾವಿಪ ’ಪ್ರೇರಣಾ’ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮಂಡಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಭಂದಗಳು ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರಾಜೆಕ್ಟ್ ಆಗಲಿ, ಪ್ರಾಜೆಕ್ಟಗಳು ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರಾಡಕ್ಟ್ ಆಗಲಿ. ಆ ಪ್ರಾಡಕ್ಟಗಳು ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಲಿ’ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಆಶಿಸಿದರು.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದ ತುಮಕೂರು ವಿವಿ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಿಂಡಿಕೇಟ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ವಿದಿಗ್ಲೋಬ್ ಲೀಗಲ್ ಸರ್ವಿಸೆಸ್ ಇಂಟೆರ್‌ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಪ್ರೈವೇಟ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್‌ನ ನಿರ್ಧೇಶಕರಾದ ಎಂ. ಕೆ ಸುವೃತ್‌ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ’ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಇಂಜಿಯರುಗಳು ತಯಾರಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಒಂದು ಮಾದರಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಆಗುವುದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ಮಾದರಿ ರಾಜ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರಯ್ಯನವರಿಗೆ ಜನ್ಮ ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ನಂತರವೂ ಮಾದರಿ ರಾಜ್ಯವಾಗಬೇಕಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ರೈತರು ಇಂದಿಗೂ ಕಷ್ಟಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅನೇಕ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆಗೂ ಶರಣಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರೈತರ ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಒರೆಸುವ ಕೃಷಿ ಕ್ಷೇತೃಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕಾದ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ನಮಗಿಂದು ಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ’ ಎಂದರು.

‘2ನೇ ವಿಶ್ವಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ವಂಸಗೊಂಡ ಜಪಾನ್, ಜರ್ಮನಿಗಳು ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಬೆಳೆದು ನಿಂತಿದೆ. ೨ನೇ ವಿಶ್ವಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ನಾಮಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಸಿಂಗಾಪೂರ ಇಂದು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಏಷ್ಯಾದ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಚಿಕ್ಕ ದೇಶ ಹಾಂಗ್‌ಕಾಂಗ್ ಇಂದು ಏಷ್ಯಾ ಮತ್ತು ಆಷ್ಟ್ರೇಲಿಯ ನಡುವಿನ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ೧೯೭೦ರ ನಂತರ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಮಿಡಿಲಿಸ್ಟ್ ಭಾರತದ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡೇ ಇಂದು ಬಹಳ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದಿದೆ. ಭಾರತ ಮೊದಲನೇ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಲ್ಲೆ ಮಂಗಳನ ಕಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಉಪಗ್ರಹ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವೀಯಾಯಿತು, ಚಂದ್ರಯಾನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕ್ಷಿಪಣಿ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಡಿಆರ್‌ಡಿಒದ ಮೂಲಕ ಭಾರತ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಸಾಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದೆಯಾದರೂ ಇದಕ್ಕೂ ಮಿಗಿಲಾದ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಲು ನಮಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ನಮ್ಮ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಮರೆತಿರುವುದರ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಹೀಗಾಗಿದೆ. ಚೀನಾ ಇಂದು ಚೈನೀಸ್ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲೆ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಜನ ಚೀನಿ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಚೀನಿ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಕನ್ನಡ, ತೆಲಗು, ತಮಿಳು, ಹಿಂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾಕೆ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆಯುವುದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಸಾವಿರಾರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಪುಷ್ಪಕ ವಿಮಾನದ ಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ದೇಶ ಭಾರತ. ದಕ್ಷಿಣದ ತುದಿಯ ಧನುಷ್ಕೋಟಿಯಿಂದ ಶ್ರೀಲಂಕಾದವರೆಗೆ ಸೇತುವೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಭಾರತ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಉತ್ತಮ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಧ್ಬುತವಾದ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ನಮ್ಮದು. ಇಂದಿನ ತರಗತಿ ಕೊಠಡಿಗಳು ಉತ್ತಮ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಾಗಬೇಕು. ಆ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಗಳು ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ನೀಡಬೇಕು, ರೈತನ ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರ ನೀಡಬೇಕು, ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಅನೇಕ ದೇಶಗಳ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ನೀಡುವ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರಾಜೆಕ್ಟಗಳಾಗಬೇಕು. ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಸಿ. ವಿ. ರಾಮನ್, ಡಾ| ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಕಲಾಂ, ಸರ್ .ಎಂ. ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರಯ್ಯ, ವಿಕ್ರಮ್ ಸಾರಬಾಯ್, ಇನ್ಫೋಸಿಸ್ ನಾರಾಯಣ ಮೂರ್ತಿ, ಸುಧಾ ಮೂರ್ತಿ, ಧೀರು ಬಾಯಿ ಅಂಬಾನಿ, ನಂದನ್ ನೀಲಕಣಿ, ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಮಂತ್ರಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಅನೇಕ ಸಾಧಕರು ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಭಾಗದಿಂದ ಬಂದವರು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಭಾಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಹ ಈ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು’ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಉದ್ಘಾಟನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಅಕ್ಷಯ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಡಾ| ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅಭಾವಿಪದ ವಿವಿದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಅಭಾವಿಪ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿಣಿ ಸದಸ್ಯ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಪ್ರೇರಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಕುರಿತು ಅಭಾವಿಪ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸಹಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಅಮರೇಶ್ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ| ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್, ನಿರ್ಧೇಶಕರಾದ ಡಾ| ಕೃಷ್ಣಮೂರ್ತಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಅಭಾವಿಪ ನಗರ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ| ಇರ್ಫಾನ್ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಅಭಾವಿಪ ನಗರ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ವೇಣುಗೋಪಾಲ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಗರ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಕು. ಕಾವ್ಯ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಉದ್ಘಾಟನ ಅವಧಿಯ ನಂತರ ನಡೆದ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಪ್ರಬಂದ ಮಂಡನೆ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯು ((Technical Paper Presentation Competition) ) ೬ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದವು. ಆಯ್ದ ೮೫ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಮಂಡಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸ್ಪರ್ದೆಗಳ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಕಾರರಾಗಿ ತುಮಕೂರು, ರಾಮನಗರ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮತ್ತು ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ವಿವಿದ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ೨೦ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹಿರಿಯ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರುಗಳು, ವಿಭಾಗಗಳ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರು ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.

ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯ ನಂತರ ’ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ವಿದೇಶಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಇದೆಯೆ’ ಎನ್ನುವ ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆಯಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂವಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸಂವಾದವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ದಗಂಗಾ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕಾ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ನ್ಯಾನೋ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜಿ ವಿಭಾಗ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಡಾ| ಶಂಭು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಸಂವಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಾವಿಪ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿಣಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ| ರವೀಶ್ ಮತ್ತು ಅಕ್ಷಯ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಆಡಳಿತಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ| ಶಿವಮೂರ್ತಿ ಕೆ. ಎಸ್ ಅವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಾವಿಪ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಚಾಲಕ್ ರವಿಕುಮಾರ್, ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಸಹ ಸಂಚಾಲಕ್ ತೇಜಮೂರ್ತಿ, ನಗರ ಸಂಘಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ನವೀನ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ನಾಯಕರುಗಳಾದ ದಿನೇಶ್, ಸುನಿಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ, ಪ್ರವೀಣ್, ಮಾಲ, ದೇವರಾಜ್, ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ್, ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್, ಜನಾರ್ಧನ್ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ೫ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳ ೪೫೦ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

New York March 25 (Indian Express): USA has told a court that it intends to move for dismissal of a lawsuit for declaring India’s RSS as a “terror group” while seeking time till April 14 to do so.

In a motion filed Tuesday before judge Laura Taylor Swain of the Southern District of New York, US attorney Preet Bharara said the “government requires additional time to finalize its motion and supporting papers”.

The US based rights group Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) has filed a lawsuit in the US court to label the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh as a foreign terrorist organization, according to SFJ attorney Gurpatwant S Pannun. It has sought such a declaration for RSS for allegedly “believing in and practicing a fascist ideology and for running a passionate, vicious and violent campaign to turn India into a ‘Hindu’ nation with a homogeneous religious and cultural identity”.

In its response filed on behalf of Secretary of State John Kerry, Bharara’s office acknowledged that the government’s deadline to respond to the complaint was Tuesday.

But “in lieu of an answer, the Government intends to move to dismiss the complaint, and requires additional time to finalise its motion and supporting papers,” it said.

“In the event this request is granted, the Government would consent to any reasonable deadline for the filing of opposition papers that plaintiff’s counsel would propose,” it added.

Rohtak., March 28 2015: RSS Sarasanhghachalak Mohan Bhagwat said “Nation has a great legacy, we are proud of this this great legacy.  We are known for our rich heritage and pluralism. Nation should be more stronger (shaktishali), for the prosperity of the universe”.

Mohan Bhagwat was addressing a mega youth conclave TARUNODAY at Rohtak, in Haryana,

“We are known for our rich heritage and pluralism,” Bhagwat said, adding that in various fields, be it agriculture, science or spiritual field, India is ahead. “We all have gathered here with one dream, which is to take India to new heights of glory,” he said, adding that for realising this aim one has to first understand one’s nation. “To understand any nation, merely knowing about its geography is not sufficient,” he said, adding knowing about its cultural values and heritage, scientific outlook and the feelings of the people are also essential if one has to know about one’s country.

रोहतक . राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के सरसंघचालक डॉ मोहन जी भागवत ने कहा कि भारत की गौरवशाली परंपरा रही है, इसी गौरवशाली परंपरा के कारण ही आज भारत का बड़ा और शक्तिशाली होना विश्व की जरूरत है. सरसंघचालक हरियाणा के रोहतक में तरुणोदय 2015 में शिविरार्थियों को संबोधित कर रहे थे.

उन्होंने कहा कि हमारी सांस्कृतिक धरोहर के कारण ही हम अनेक कालचक्रों का सामना करते हुए टिके रहे, इसका कारण हमारी महान सांस्कृतिक परंपरा है. हमने कभी किसी संस्कृति को नहीं नकारा. हमारी समन्वयवादी परंपरा रही है. इसीलिए सभी क्षेत्रों में अनेक कीर्तिमान स्थापित किए हैं. ज्ञान-विज्ञान का प्रारंभ करने का श्रेय भारत को जाता है. खेती हो, विज्ञान हो या आध्यात्म, हम हर क्षेत्र में आगे रहे हैं. चाहे बात लौह स्तंभ की हो या स्टेनलेस स्टील बनाने की. हमारे वनवासी बंधुओं द्वारा बनाया जाने वाला स्टेनलेस स्टील उच्चकोटि का है, जिसका लोहा बड़ी-बड़ी कंपनियां भी मानती हैं. हमने विश्व को ज्ञान दिया. इतना ही नहीं ज्ञान को विश्व में हर किसी तक पहुंचाने के लिए बलिदान देने से भी भारत के लोग पीछे नहीं रहे.

उन्होंने बताया कि जब चीनी यात्री नालंदा विश्वविद्यालय से पुस्तकें लेकर चीन लौट रहा था तो  नाव द्वारा नदी पार करते समय तूफान आने पर नाविक ने कहा कि तूफान में डटे रहने के लिये नाव से कुछ भार कम करना पड़ेगा. तब चीनी यात्री चिंतित हो गया, कि अब भार कम करने के लिये पुस्तकें फैंकनी पड़ेंगी या किसी को नदीं में कूदना होगा. ज्ञान की धारा को चीन तक पहुंचाने के लिये उनके साथ जा रहे तीन भारतीयों ने चीनी यात्री की चिंता को कम किया, और तीनों भारतीयों ने जान की परवाह किए बिना बारी-बारी से नदी में छलांग लगा दी ताकि ज्ञान की धारा चीन तक पहुंच सके.

उन्होंने कहा कि भारत की परंपरा धर्म आधारित अर्थ, काम और मोक्ष की परंपरा रही है. इसी महान सांस्कृतिक विरासत को राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ आगे बढ़ाने व इसके प्रति देश के लोगों में गौरवानुभूति जागृत करने का कार्य कर रहा है. तरुणोदय शिविर में हम सब इसलिए एकत्र हुए हैं, क्योंकि हम सबके मन में भारत को परम वैभव पर ले जाने का सपना है. यह सपना तब पूरा होगा, जब हम सबसे पहले अपने भारत को जानें. किसी भी देश को समझने के लिये उसे केवल भौगोलिक दृष्टि से समझना पर्याप्त नहीं होता, अपितु उसकी अस्मिता के मूल स्रोत और उसकी वैज्ञानिक दृष्टि, सांस्कृतिक मूल्य और उज्ज्वल परंपरा को जानना और देश के जनमानस की भावनाओं को समझना जरूरी होता है.

संघ के स्वयंसेवकों के सामने अनेक बाधाएं और उतार-चढ़ाव आएंगे. झोंकों और बाधाओं के कारण हम अपनी राह नहीं छोड़ेंगे, हमें देश के लिए काम करना है और भारत को विश्वगुरु बनाना है, इस सबके लिए हम सब काम कर रहे हैं. इसी परंपरा में हमारा हर कार्य सत्यं, शिवम्, सुदरम् होना चाहिये. निजी स्वार्थ के चलते संघ में आने वाले व्यक्ति ज्यादा दिन संगठन में नहीं टिकते.

उन्होंने कहा कि एक व्यक्ति का परिचय कराने के लिए यहां पर 15 सेकेंड लगे हैं. भारत में 125 करोड़ जन हैं, इस हिसाब से भारत माता का परिचय कराने के लिये कितना समय लगेगा, यह जानना जरूरी है. भारत को जाने बिना इसके लिए काम कैसे होगा. इसलिए यह आवश्यक है कि देश के लिये कार्य करने से पहले भारत को जानें. जाति व्यवस्था व महिलाओं का गौण स्थान भारत की परंपरा नहीं है. महिलाओ का उच्च स्थान व जाति विहीन समाज की संरचना भारत में सदियों से रही है. अर्थशास्त्र न मुनाफा कमाने का तंत्र है और न ही उपभोग को बढ़ावा देने का, बल्कि सभी का भरण पोषण हो, इसके लिए है. उन्होंने कहा कि सांस्कृतिक रूप से हम सब एकसूत्र में बंधे हुए हैं, जिसमें जाति का कहीं कोई स्थान नहीं है.

रोहतक . राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के सरसंघचालक डॉ मोहन जी भागवत ने कहा कि भारत प्राचीन काल से दुनिया का सिरमौर रहा है. कुछ कालचक्र घटनाओं को छोड़ दें तो भारत ने हर क्षेत्र में पहल करते हुए कीर्तिमान स्थापित किए हैं. भारत पुन: दुनिया का सिरमौर बने, इसके लिए युवाओं को भारत की आत्मा को पहचान कर देश के विकास में अपनी भूमिका निर्धारित करनी होगी. वह संघ के हरियाणा प्रांत के तरुणोदय शिविर के समापन अवसर पर स्वयंसेवकों और अन्य उपस्थित बंधुओं को संबोधित कर रहे थे.

उन्होंने स्वयंसेवकों व देश की युवा पीढ़ी से आह्वान किया कि वे देशहित में अपने कार्यों का निर्धारण करते हुए भविष्य की योजनाएं बनाएं. उन्होंने भारतीय समाज को झकझोरते हुए कहा कि भारत की उन्नति तब तक संभव नहीं है, जब तक भारत का प्रत्येक व्यक्ति भारत की सभ्यता, संस्कृति व समन्वय की परंपरा पर नहीं चलेगा. आपसी सभी प्रकार के भेदभावों को मिटाकर हमें अपने राष्ट्र के लिए कार्य करना है. यह भाव देश के जनमानस में पैदा हो और समाज के मूल्यों व गौरवशाली अतीत के प्रति गर्व महसूस करना शुरू करेगा, उस दिन से भारत पुन: अपने यशस्वी स्थान को प्राप्त करेगा.

संघ अपने विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों के द्वारा राष्ट्रहित में सोचने का भाव जगाने का कार्य करता है. कार्यकर्ताओं के लिए ऐसे वातावरण का निर्माण करता है कि उसकी राष्ट्र के प्रति समर्पित सोच बने. ऐसी सज्जन शक्ति का समाज में स्थान बढ़े और उसका दायरा बढ़े, हमें इस दिशा में काम करने की आवश्यकता है. उन्होंने कहा कि संघ केवल पुरुषों में ही काम नहीं करता, अपितु बहनों में राष्ट्र के प्रति भाव जगे, उसके लिए राष्ट्र सेविका समिति कार्य कर रही है. उन्होंने स्वयंसेवकों से आह्वान किया कि राष्ट्र के उत्थान के लिए संघ कार्य बढ़े, यह जिम्मेदारी स्वयंसेवकों के कंधों पर है.

योगेश्वर दत्त को किया सम्मानित

सरसंघचालक डॉ मोहनराव भागवत ने इस अवसर पर ओलंपिक पदक पहलवान योगेश्वर दत्त को गदा देकर सम्मानित किया. इसके अलावा उन्होंने पहलवान परमजीत यादव (राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों में स्वर्ण पदक) और विजयपाल (गांव-गांव में कुश्ती का निशुल्क प्रशिक्षण देने वाले) को भी सम्मानित किया. पहलवान विजयपाल ने अपना जीवन कुश्ती के लिए समर्पित कर रखा है. डॉ भागवत ने कहा कि योगेश्वर दत्त जैसा मुकाम पाने के लिए बहुत ही कड़ी मेहनत करनी पड़ती है. कड़ी मेहनत के बल पर भी देश का नाम ऊंचा किया जा सकता है.

देश का सम्मान बढऩे से मिलती खुशी : योगेश्वर

योगेश्वर दत्त ने कहा कि जब हमारे कारण देश का मान-सम्मान बढ़ता है तो उस खुशी का ठिकाना नहीं होता. अगर हमारे काम से देश को फायदा होता है तो यह किसी भी देशभक्क्त नागरिक के लिए गर्व की बात होती है, चाहे खेल हो या अन्य क्षेत्र.

रोहतक (विसंकें). राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के सरसंघचालक डॉ मोहन जी भागवत ने कहा कि धर्म सभी के लिए कल्याणकारी होता है. धर्म हमेशा शाश्वत होता है. चाहे पूजा पद्धति कोई भी हो, धर्म जोडऩे का कार्य करता है. सबके जीवन की चिंता करते हुए अपने कर्तव्यों का धारण करना ही धर्म है.

सरसंघचालक डॉ मोहन भागवत ने स्थानीय पंडित भगवत दयाल शर्मा स्वास्थ्य विश्वविद्यालय के सभागार में आयोजित चिकित्सक एवं प्राध्यापकों की गोष्ठी को संबोधित किया. गोष्ठी का विषय था वर्तमान परिवेश में हिंदुत्व की प्रासंगिकता.

उन्होंने कहा कि धर्म को संकुचित दायरे में बांधना ठीक नहीं है. देश, काल की परिस्थिति के अनुसार मूल्य और परिस्थितियां बदलती हैं. सत्य हमेशा रहता है. धर्म वह है, जिसके मूल में समभाव हो. महात्मा बुद्ध ने भी कहा कि धर्म सदा, सर्वदा सबके लिए कल्याणकारी होता है. बिना स्वार्थ के हम अपना जीवन सेवा व परोपकार  के दायरे में जीयें. प्रेम व कट्टरता के नाम पर संघर्ष नहीं होना चाहिए. सेवा, सहनशीलता, कृतज्ञता जैसे मूल्य हिंदुत्व की पहचान हैं. सेवा करते समय सीमाएं नहीं देखी जातीं.

उन्होंने कहा कि सनातन मूल्य आधारित संस्कृति पर सबका अधिकार है. भारत के दर्शन में आत्मीयता का भाव है. कभी भी भारतीय समाज आत्म केंद्रित नहीं रहा और न यह भारत की पहचान रही है. आत्मीयता में संघर्ष नहीं समन्वय होता है. इसी मान्यता व विरासत को भारतीयों को पहचानना चाहिए और अपनी विरासत पर गर्व करना चाहिए. विदेशी आक्रमण व भारतीय समाज को मूल से विस्मृत किए जाने के प्रयासों के चलते भारतीय समाज में कुछ कमजोरियां आईं. अब समाज के आचरण में मूल्य व बल दोनों को बढ़ाना पड़ेगा ताकि भारत को उत्कर्ष की राह पर पुन: ले जाया जा सके. यही एकमेव उपयुक्त विचार है जो विश्व को राह भी दिखाएगा.

भारतीय संस्कृति भेद व संघर्ष को नहीं मानती. हम समन्वय करके चलने वाले लोग हैं. इसी संस्कार की अभिव्यक्ति कि सभी का जीवन सुखी बने, ऐसी हमारी मान्यता रही है. यहां तक की प्रकृति के प्रति भी कृतज्ञता का भाव रखते हुए ही उसका दोहन करें, न कि शोषण करें. हमें भेद मिटाने होंगे. अपना इतिहास जानना होगा और अपना खोज करके सत्य सभी को बताना होगा. उन्होंने कहा कि स्वामी विवेकानंद ने कहा था कि मैं भविष्य नहीं मानता, लेकिन मैं देख रहा हूं कि भारत भूमि फिर से विश्व का सिरमौर बन विश्व को राह दिखा रही है.

इस अवसर पर मुख्य अतिथि डॉ पुष्पेंद्र नाथ (निदेशक, अपोलो अस्पताल दिल्ली) ने कहा कि हिंदुत्व सेवा भावना और सहनशीलता की दिशा दिखाता है. उन्होंने सुश्रुत, भाई कन्हैयालाल आदि के जीवन के उदाहरण देते हुए कहा कि मनुष्य मात्र की सेवा ही भगवान की सच्ची सेवा है और चिकित्सक जगत में यह भाव होना चाहिए. विशिष्ट अतिथि डॉ. हरिश्चंद्र शर्मा ने वेदांत दर्शन के उदाहरणों से हिंदुत्व के विषय पर प्रकाश डाला.

Bengaluru April 01: The Karnataka assembly on Tuesday passed a bill to make Kannada the medium of instruction in all governmentaided, unaided and private schools up to class 5. Up to Class 10, studying Kannada as a subject is compulsory. The bill was introduced by the state government.

On Tuesday, the Karnataka legislature passed two important Bills – Right to Free and Compulsory Education (Karnataka Amendment) Bill, 2015 and the Karnataka Language Learning Bill, 2015. In the first Bill, the Section 29(2)(f), which earlier read as “medium of instruction shall, as far as practicable, be in child’s mother tongue”, has been expanded by adding “Kannada” to it. It means, all state government, aided, unaided, and private schools, which have Karnataka state syllabus, need to necessarily follow Kannada as the medium of instruction at the primary school level (up to standard 5).

RSS Congratulated Karnataka State Government, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Education Minister Kimmane Ratnakar and members of Vidhan Sabha for passing the two major bills related to school education. RSS Kshetreeya Sanghachalak V Nagaraj, RSS Kshetreeya Karyavah DS Ramakrishna Rao congratulated the state govt, said “This is an important step in making the Kannada as medium of instruction in Primary Education”. In its recently held national meet at Nagpur, RSS had passed a resolution requesting all state governments and central govt to adopt “Elementary Education in mother tongue in all schools”.

Both the Bills were adopted unanimously after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah assured the House of taking a delegation of floor leaders from all parties in the State legislature to Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to impress upon him the need to effect a Constitutional amendment to enforce Kannada as medium of instruction for primary education.

“I will raise the issue at the meeting of the National Development Council to be convened by the Prime Minister,” the Chief Minister said, adding that he had written to all the Chief Ministers seeking their co-operation in the matter. Earlier, members urged Mr. Siddaramaiah to take a lead in building consensus among Chief Ministers of all States to take the issue forward.

 The bill making Kannada a compulsory subject covers CBSE, ICSE and international schools, too. Replying to the debate, chief minister Siddaramaiah said he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and requested him to bring a Constitution amendment that would enable the states to impart education in their respective languages. This is because sometimes laws enacted by the states do not stand scrutiny in courts.

The state government subsequently on the direction of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah held discussions with educators, Kannada writers and literary figures to find a way to ensure all students in the state learn the local language.

Minister of State for Primary and Secondary Education, Kimmane Ratnakar clarified that the government was leaving schools affiliated to CBSE and ICSE out of the ambit of this Bill at present. However, there are only 700 such schools, he said. The Kannada medium Bill needs Presidential assent.

Sri Rampur, Kokrajar District Assam, April 01: RSS Pracharak and Former national functionary Sitarama Kedilaya lead Bharat Parikrama Yatra has entered Assam, making the 15th state to reach during his mega walkathon on its non-stop 962th day on March 30th Monday.

Bharat Parikrama Yatra had entered Assam from Pakadi Gudi Village of Alipur Dwar district of West Bengal. As per the schedule, Bharat Parikrama Yatra will travel in North East States including Arunachal Pradesh, the most eastern state of India ill December 2015. In January 2016, the Yatra will return to West Bengal state but continue its journey in Dakshin Bang Pranth and then to reach Odisha in February 2016.

67 year old Sitarama Kedilaya has now completed this 11,300 kilometers by his mega walk.  The Yatra was started on August 09, 2012 from Kanyakumari.

नई दिल्ली. राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के सह सरकार्यवाह डॉ कृष्ण गोपाल जी ने कहा कि सेवा का भारतीय दर्शन नर में नारायण को देखता है, सेवा के पीछे किसी उद्देश्य, लाभ की अपनी कामना नहीं होती. जिस सेवा के पीछे उद्देश्य होता है, या अपेक्षा निहित रहती है, वह सेवा व्यापार हो जाती है. भारतीय मौलिक दर्शन में सेवा के बदले केवल आनंद अनुभव होता है. हम सेवा के दौरान सेवितजन में परमात्मा के दर्शन करते हैं.

सह सरकार्यवाह शनिवार से समरसता नगर (होटल ब्लू सफायर, अलीपुर करनाल जीटी रोड) में आयोजित दूसरे  राष्ट्रीय सेवा संगम के उद्घाटन सत्र में प्रतिनिधियों को संबोधित कर रहे थे. उन्होंने कहा कि अपनी सेवा का उद्देश्य है देश समाज में कोई भी व्यक्ति दीन हीन न रहे, लेष मात्र भी कष्ट न हो. मा कश्चित दुखभागभवेत, सर्वे भवंतु सुखिन की भावना है. हम भारत माता की जय बोलते हैं, पर यदि एक भी व्यक्ति कष्ट में रहा, पीड़ित रहा, शिक्षा विहीन रहा, तो भारत माता की जय अधूरी है. प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के दुख को दूर करना लक्ष्य है. उन्होंने कहा कि हमारे यहां सेवा में पूजा पद्धति या अन्य किसी आधार पर भेद नहीं किया जाता, सभी को चाहे वह किसी भी पूजा पद्धति को मानने वाला हो, परमात्मा का अंश मानकर सेवा की जाती है. सेवा के बदले कोई अपेक्षा करने पर वह अपवित्र हो जाती है. यह भारतीय मौलिक दर्शन है जो हमारे ऋषियों, साधु संतों, महापुरुषों ने हमें दिया है. हम मानते हैं कि किसी दुखी, पीड़ित की सेवा करने का अवसर मिला यह मेरा सौभाग्य है. कहा कि दुर्बल वर्ग के हर अभाव को दूर करना समाज के समर्थ वर्ग का दायित्व है. पहले चरण में हम चाहते हैं कि देश में कोई दीन-दुखी न रहे और दूसरे चरण में सारी दुनिया में ऐसी ही स्थिति का निर्माण कर दें.

सह सरकार्यवाह ने संघ संस्थापक डॉ हेडगेवार जन्मशताब्दी वर्ष 1989 का स्मरण करते बताया कि तत्कालीन सरसंघचालक परम पूज्य बाला साहब देवरस ने सेवा कार्य का विचार कार्यकर्ताओं के समक्ष रखा था. वंचित समाज के दुख-कष्ट को दूर करने के लिये क्या हम पांच हजार सेवा कार्यों से काम शुरू कर सकते हैं. उनके आग्रह या कहें विचार पर कार्यकर्ताओं ने प्राणपन से कार्य शुरू किया, वर्ष 1995 तक न केवल लक्ष्य को हासिल किया, बल्कि आगे बढ़े, 1995 तक देशभर में सात हजार सेवा कार्य चल रहे थे. और वर्ष 2015 तक देश भर में सेवा कार्यों की संख्या डेढ़ लाख तक पहुंच गई है. सह सरकार्यवाह जी ने आशा व्यक्त की कि अगले सेवा संगम तक कार्यकर्ताओं, सेवा भावी सज्जनों के उद्यम से सेवा कार्यों की संख्या दोगुनी हो जाएगी. कहा कि राष्ट्रीय सेवा भारती और संघ के स्वयंसेवक समाज, सेवाभावी, सक्षम, सम्पन्न लोगों को साथ लेकर लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करें.

डॉ कृष्ण गोपाल ने पिछले एक हजार वर्ष के पराधीनताकाल के दौरान संचित समस्याओं के उन्मूलन के लिये अब्दुल रहीम खानखाना जैसे कार्यकर्ताओं को तैयार करने की आवश्यकता पर जोर देते हुए कहा कि उनका मन यहां की संस्कृति और प्राणी मात्र में ईश्वर के दर्शन में रचबस गया था.

पूज्य माता अमृतानंदमयी अम्मा ने अपने आशीर्वचन में शांति एवं संतोष से परिपूर्ण विश्व के निर्माण का आह्वान किया. उन्होंने प्रेम, करुणा और सेवा के निष्काम भाव पर जोर देते हुए कहा कि यदि सम्पन्नता और निर्धनता की बड़ी खाई को भरने में देर लगी तो हिंसा और युद्ध से नहीं बचा जा सकेगा.

अम्मा ने बच्चों को सनातन सांस्कृतिक मूल्यों की शिक्षा देने की आह्वान करते कहा कि सेवानिवृत्त अध्यापकों को दो वर्ष अध्यात्म, नैतिक मूल्यों की शिक्षा प्रदान करने के लिये गांवों में जाना चाहिये. उन्होंने कहा कि नर को नारायण मानकर सेवा करना, सेवा का यह अवसर अनमोल है, इसे व्यर्थ न गवाएं. वर्तमान में सेवा को पेशा बना लिया गया है, यह समाज के लिये कैंसर के समान है. अम्मा ने राष्ट्रीय सेवा भारती की पत्रिका सेवा साधना का विमोचन किया.

राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के अखिल भारतीय  सह सेवा प्रमुख अजीत प्रसाद महापात्र ने कहा कि राष्ट्रीय सेवा भारती दुर्बल समाज के आंसू पोंछने के लिये अपेक्षित भाव पैदा करने के साथ ही उनमें स्वाभिमान जगाने का प्रयास कर रही है. सेवा कार्य में रत संस्थाओं को एक मंच पर लाना सेवा संगम का उद्देश्य है.

संगम के लिये गठित स्वागत समिति के अध्यक्ष और जी मीडिया समूह के अध्यक्ष सुभाष चंद्रा ने मंचस्थ महानुभावों और प्रतिभागी समस्त प्रतिनिधियों का स्वागत किया. मंच पर राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के सरकार्यवाह सुरेश (भय्याजी) जोशी, व्यवसायी अतुल गुप्ता जी, राष्ट्रीय सेवा भारती के अध्यक्ष सूर्य प्रकाश टोंक उपस्थित थे.

Bengaluru 05 April 2015: BJP’s General secretry Ram Madhav, who is In-charge of party’s Jammu and Kashmir affairs said that “the BJP-PDP government in formed Jammu and Kashmir is a Government formed for governance of the state and to fulfill the constitutional obligation. The government is based on development oriented common minimum program and there is no question of any compromise in BJP’s stand on Jammu and Kashmir. BJP will not allow anything to happen in Jammu and Kashmir that compromises with the National Integrity. BJP has respected mandate of people of Jammu and Kashmir and thus is now part of the government there. No compromise of national interest”

He was delivering a lecture on Current Socio-Political situation in Jammu and Kashmir at Mythic Society auditorium, Bengaluru, organized by ‘Manthana’-  a Bengaluru based intellectual forum for promoting Nationalist discourses.

“While talking about recent elections to Jammu and Kashmir state assembly and PDP-BJP alliance government formation he said “The renewed interest in knowing what is happening in Jammu & Kashmir because there is a government in the state today which seems to many as an unusual type of arrangement. Many are watching the developments of BJP especially after the formation of BJP – PDP government. But BJP has nationalistic signpost as its ideology. And I will assure you we will not do anything that will be against the interest of our country, its unity and sovereignty. Due to the kind of identity politics practiced in state these many years BJP was treated as an untouchable Hindu party. In state general election 2008, held aftermath of Amarnath Andolan when BJP was at peak of its popularity we secured 15 percent votes and 11 seats. But due magic Modi wave in 2014 that swept country, J&K could not escape from that wave.”

“During 2014 loksabha election BJP secured 33 percent of votes in state higher than national average. During last assembly election we worked on a strategy to maximize the gain under the idea 44+. We worked with idea that BJP should be in power in the state. We achieved it, today BJP is in power which was unthinkable five years back and in future whatever type of government will be there in state BJP will be in power.  We have secure largest vote share in the state, 23 percents, and won 25 seats. Two seats are won by Peoples Conference supported by BJP and a rebel candidate from BJP has won. So technically we have same number of seats as PDP which had 28 seats. Now the immediate challenge was to form the government.”

“There were lots of ideological difference between BJP and PDP. PDPs chief Mufti Muhammad Sayeed on record had said-BJP and PDP are like north and south poles.  Both National Conference and Congress had offered unconditional support to PDP. However any government without BJP would have been unrepresentative, because entire Jammu was with BJP. Hence we were left with no option but t form the government. All options were sorted out. After all negotiations what is there in Jammu and Kashmir today is governance alliance, an alliance based on common minimum program for the development of the state.”

Explaining the basis of formation of government on common minimum program Ram Madhav assured that “There is nothing in the common minimum program which could be called as compromise. The CMP is dedicated to the development of the state. 80 percent of the CMP deals with development of three regions of Jammu and Kashmir. 10 percent deal with governance issues like fighting corruption, setting up vigilance commission, panchayat elections etc and remaining only 10 percent deal with issues which are contentious. On these 10 percent issues we agreed to disagree and try come to a common understanding. However on these 10 percent issues lots of speculation mongering is going on. On issues like 370, AFSPA I feel we handled in the best possible manner. “

Assuring the commitment of BJP to address the issues of refugees Ram Madhav said “The government will facilitate respectful return of Kashmiri Pandits to valley. Compensatory packages will be given to all refugees, which is pending from decades. The government is committed to give all the privileges of state subject to refugees migrated from west Pakistan, 90 percent of whom are scheduled tribes. As part of CMP commission will be set up to address the long pending demand of delimitation of constituencies in the state.”

Asserting the BJPs strong position in politics of J&K  he said “Today BJP in Jammu and Kashmir has 4 MPs, 26 MLAs, 7 MLCs, 3 alliance partners; a formidable force in the state. We are committed to give a non corrupt development oriented government which the state has never seen before.”

“Assuring the commitment of BJP to National integrity he told ”As long as BJP is in power we will assure anything bad will not happen to national integrity. Recently during VHP golden jubilee celebrations Praveenbhai Togadia was prevented from delivering speech in Karnataka and West Bengal, but he held programs in J&K border areas. We will ensure that nationalist voices have their say in Jammu and Kashmir.”

Cautioning about speculations being created in media he said “we have to stop seeing Jammu and Kashmir from Pakistan perspective of international perspective. “

The program opened with a patriotic song by Kumari Ohileswari, President of Manthana Dr Giridhara Upadhyaya welcomed the gathering. Tejaswi Surya, member of Manthana anchored, Rajesh Padmar, coordinator of Vishwa Samvada Kendra Karnataka extended the vote of thanks.

Full Text of Speech of Azim Premji at Rashtriya Sewa Sangam :

Ladies and Gentlemen, Namaste
Everyone present at this meeting is present here because we all share a belief that we must work together for a better India. I understand that most of you here today are already working towards translating this belief into a reality with your hard work in the field, and that many of you have dedicated your entire life to this cause.
It is a great privilege to be invited to speak on this occasion and a pleasure to be here amongst people who are not only dreaming of a better India, but are actually dedicating their lives to it.
I must share with you how I happen to be here with you today. It was Mohan Bhagwatji who honored me by inviting me to speak on this occasion. However, some people expressed apprehension about my participating in this function.
They felt that by addressing a forum like this I would be seen as endorsing the ideology of the Sangha.
I did not follow their advice because:
Firstly, I am not a political person. I am however deeply interested in and concerned about my country. So I see no issue in speaking at an occasion where people have gathered to discuss how to contribute to the country. Also, I believe that merely speaking at a particular forum does not in any way mean that one endorses all, or any, of the views that might be expressed at the forum, or which may be held by the organizers.
Secondly, while I myself may not know many of you here, some of my colleagues do know some of you and, more importantly are acquainted with the good work being done by many present here for the genuine betterment of our country, and I did not want to miss this opportunity of speaking with you.
Thirdly and most importantly, after having met Mohanji, I realized how many people like you all over India, were dedicating their lives to the genuine upliftment of our country, with deep commitment to their work. And I thought, all those working towards a better India, should attempt to join hands where they can. And if there are differences of views or divergence of ideas they can only be resolved through discussion and dialogue. That is why I am here with you today at this very large gathering of dedicated people. When I speak of a better India, I visualize the India envisioned in our
Constitution, an India which is just, equitable, humane and sustainable. Such an India must be not only economically strong to be able to provide to all its citizens with shelter, nutrition, access to basic health and education, but at the same time it must be an India with great heart, which treats all living entities – human beings and nature – with care and compassion. If we are to become a great country, and realize the vision of our constitution, we need to work on many fronts. Let me refer to just some of these issues.
We must improve our governance and battle corruption at every level so we can release our energy for the betterment of our country and the world. We must make our country safe for our citizens and especially for our women, our children and the disadvantaged sections. We must work towards providing shelter to those who live in abject poverty, and ensure that every one gets a decent meal, access to healthcare and good Education.
We must act on these and many other fronts if we are to fulfill our own aspirations of a good society and as a nation become an important and meaningful member of the global society.
I believe that one of the foremost areas we need to address is Education.

When I first decided to set up a foundation, I considered many areas that needed urgent redressal in our country- livelihoods, health, education and environment amongst others. After much deliberation, I decided upon Education as a priority because I believe that a well educated population will be empowered to take care of its other problems such as livelihood, health, sustainability etc. Since Education is my area of interest, I hope you will not mind my talking a little more about it.
Our Education system needs a great deal of improvement, not only in ensuring that all our children, especially from the deprived section are in school, but much more importantly in the quality of Education. We know that Education is most fundamentally empowering for any human being and thereby for the nation. Unfortunately at this point our Education system is not delivering as it should. Let me briefly touch upon what I think is good Education. In my view, and as reflected in several National Policy documents and curricular goals, good Education is that which enables the growth and development of the child in multiple dimensions, such that she is able to fulfill
and expand her potential and become an active, contributing and concerned citizen of our country and the world. These multiple dimensions of development of the child include not just the cognitive, but also the physical, social, emotional and ethical development of each child. And this must happen in an integrated manner.
Good Education is not about rote memorization and getting good grades, it’s about ability to think critically, to question, and to develop the individual’s autonomy. Good Education is about developing good human beings, who are empowered to make informed and ethical decisions, and who grow into responsible and caring citizens. And most importantly, good Education is that which in its totality enables the development of our country, as envisioned in our Constitution.
There is a tremendous need for improvement in both our school and higher Education sectors. We at the Azim Premji Foundation decided to work single mindedly in the area of school Education, in which we have now been engaged for 15 years. Our focus has been totally on helping to improve the quality of education in the government schooling system. We chose this path because the mandate of government schooling, or the public education system as it is called is to serve children from all sections and all sectors of society including the underprivileged without any discrimination, a clear mandate to serve the most disadvantaged sections of our society. Our work, currently in the states of Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, MP, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka and Bihar, which have over 350,000 schools, work is entirely focused on helping improve the States’ schooling systems, especially in the disadvantaged districts of these states.
In 2010, after ten years of experience of working in the field, we realized that a major problem was the great dearth of good Educational professionals in the field, decided to establish the not-for-profit Azim Premji University, for educating professionals, experts in the field Education and other human Development areas, who would be committed to working in the social sector.
Based on our work in school education, let me share with you a few points that strike me as pivotal in improving our public school system: First, all of us including the Government, needs to strongly and visibly reaffirm the importance of quality public Education, because public Education is foundational to democracy. It helps break down social and economic inequalities and helps build an egalitarian, inclusive society. We see that even
the most economically advanced nations invest and develop a strong public Education system as they realize its critical value to society and democracy.
Our aim should not be to create a parallel system of private schools, but to revamp and enable the vast existing public system which today reaches almost every village in our country. It is imperative that we revitalize this system. Second, the problem is while we have many excellent policies and intentions, our execution on the ground has been very weak. We must focus on execution and implementation on the ground.
Third, improving the entire Education system is only possible if we carry all stakeholders with us. This means that not only must all the states be committed and its institutions involved, but most importantly that our millions
of Teachers be motivated to change.

We must recognize the critical role of Teachers and make them partners in the change. This will only happen if we value our Teachers, give them adequate voice, empower them and acknowledge the importance of their role. Like any other area of work, some of our existing Teachers are highly capable and committed, while some are disengaged. However most teachers are like the average human being, like you and me, who, with the right education, adequate support and an empowering environment, can become the back bone of our efforts to improve education.
Fourth, improving the Teacher Education system, including the B. Ed., D.Ed. colleges is crucial if we want to develop good teachers. Unfortunately many of our 16000 odd Teacher colleges are more of commercial institutes with no real interest in Education. These are often owned by powerful people who resist attempts at change. So, reforming the system will be a daunting challenge which will take political will, commitment and courage. But unless we do this, our school Education will not improve for a long long time. Fifth, we must make sustained and systematic efforts to develop the capacity of existing teachers by providing comprehensive on the ground support in multiple ways, including opportunities and mechanisms for peer learning. This will require revamping our Cluster and Block Resource Centers as well as our 600 odd existing District Institutes of Educational Training (DIETs) which can
then take the lead in addressing the multiple needs of school Education, including capacity development of Teachers.
Sixth, it is also most important to improve early childhood care for our preschool children to ensure they receive proper nutrition and early Education, as this foundation is crucial for the healthy, all round development of the child.
At present we have a 13 lakh strong network of Anganwadis which we must invest in and improve to ensure a sound foundation. Lastly, to make all this happen we will have to significantly increase public investment in Education which at present is woefully inadequate. Illustratively, our public expenditure for school Education is only 2.8% of our GDP, while that of other developing countries is over 3.5% and developed countries which have good Education systems 5% to 6% of GDP. This calls for political will and prioritization.

The issues I have raised are not the only ones in Education, but I do think they are some of the most important ones. If we want our Education to fundamentally improve, we will have to seriously take up the above challenges. If we really want to fulfill this huge agenda we will all have to work together, as such an agenda will require not only very strong political will but an enormous amount of commitment – “tann, mann and dhan”. Dedicated workers like you will need to take on ownership for those aspects of the agenda which find resonance in your own work, and also influence public discourse on these issues. Given the importance of good Education to every individual and to the
overall society, I am sure that many of you must be already engaged in working in many of these areas. I want to reiterate that we as a Foundation, are deeply committed to improving the public school system. I think that all players in the Education arena need to work together towards developing a robust, vibrant, high quality and inclusive Public Education System.
As I come to a close, let me leave you with a few thoughts. One, for me Values are very important. I have learnt that this is true for small actions as well as big ones, for what we are, is revealed not in big things but in the little things we do. I believe there is nothing more important than Integrity. Building a culture of integrity in an organization is about trying to be consistently straightforward in all actions and words with all people, including in our own daily interactions and commitments. Two, the test of our social commitment and humanity is how we treat the most powerless of our fellow citizens, the respect we accord to our fellow human beings. That is what reveals our true culture. Three, as a great pluralistic nation we must accept our differences. It is vital that we accept them and find a common ground to work together. Negative people only focus on differences. How empowering it would be for us as a nation if we focus on common causes. Instead of dissipating our energy on dissonance and discord, imagine all 125 crore Indians working together to battle our greatest common challenges – poverty, inequality, ignorance, disease – what a great country we could be!
I would like to thank you once again and to reiterate what an honour it has been for me to be able to address so many good people doing so much good work with such great social purpose. You indeed form a part of vibrant civilsociety of India, so essential in any great nation. Let us hope that our country awakens, and that we all together bring to reality the great India envisioned in our constitution.

होसबले ने बताया व्दितीय राष्ट्रीय सेवा संगम को अव्दितीय

नई दिल्ली. राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के सह सरकार्यवाह श्री दत्तात्रेय होसबले ने राष्ट्रीय सेवा भारती के तत्वावधान में आयोजित तीन दिवसीय व्दितीय राष्ट्रीय सेवा संगम को अव्दितीय बताते हुए आशा व्यक्त की कि यह देश में सेवा की सुनामी लाने में सहायक होगा.

समापन सत्र में श्री होसबले ने देश के 532 जिलों से यहां आये 3050 प्रतिनिधियों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि इस संगम में हुए विचार-विमर्श से अगले पांच वर्ष तक इन पांच बिंदुओं पर ध्यान केन्द्रित करने में मदद मिलेगी- सेवा कार्यों की गति बढ़ाना, सेवा कार्यों की संख्या बढ़ाना, सेवा कार्यों के आयामों में वृद्धि, गुणवत्ता में अभिवृद्धि तथा प्रभाव (इम्पैक्ट)  में वृद्धि.

राष्ट्रीय सेवा भारती से जुड़े 707 गैर सरकारी संगठनों के इन प्रतिनिधियों को श्री होसबले ने अनेक सफलतादायक परामर्श दिये. उन्होंने व्यवस्थित ढंग से सेवा कार्य करने का स्वभाव बनाने का आग्रह करते हुए कहा कि देश में शिक्षा और स्वास्थ्य के क्षेत्र में जरूरतमंद लोगों के बीच एवं जल स्रोतों के शुद्धिकरण के लिये परिणामदायी काम करने की बहुत आवश्यकता है.

सहसरकार्यवाह ने यह भी आशा व्यक्त की कि सेवा भारती से जुड़े संगठनों का कामकाज इतने उत्कृष्ट स्तर का होना चाहिये जिससे यह  सेवा के क्षेत्र में मानक बन सके. इसके लिये उन्होंने सुझाया कि सेवा भारती से सम्बद्ध संगठन अन्य कार्यों के अलावा एक-दो क्षेत्र में विशेषज्ञता हासिल करें, सकारात्मक परिवर्तन लाने के लिये सुनिश्चित योजना तैयार करें और दक्षता विकास के लिये निरंतर प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम चलायें जिससे प्रत्यक्ष कार्य क्षेत्र में आवश्यक विशिष्ट ज्ञान के साथ ही सामूहिकता, परिश्रम, लगन, निरंतरता, समन्वय और आदर्श नेतृत्वकारी गुणों का विकास हो सके.

स्वामी विवेकानंद की शिक्षाओं का स्मरण करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि हमें पश्चिमी जगत से आधुनिक ज्ञान सीखने में कोई संकोच नहीं करना चाहिये. साथ ही, भारत को विश्व के बीच श्रेष्ठ स्थान पर प्रतिष्ठित करने के प्रयत्नों में भारतीय मूल के विदेशों में बसे लोगों विशेषकर युवकों से सहायता ली जा सकती है. उन्होंने इस बात पर प्रसन्नता व्यक्त की कि उच्च शिक्षित युवकों में सेवा का आकर्षण बढ़ रहा है. वे अच्छी नौकरियां छोड़ कर सेवा क्षेत्र में आ रहे हैं.

श्री होसबले ने प्रतिनिधियों को इस बात से सावधान किया कि सेवा कार्य में किसी भी प्रकार की अस्पृश्यता का कोई विचार अपने मन में न रखें. वे यह भी सदैव अपने ध्यान में रखें कि समाज के सभी लोगों की दुर्बलता दूर किये बिना समर्थ भारत नहीं बन सकता. इसके लिये उन्होंने बिलियर्ड्स के नौ बार विश्व चैम्पियन रहे गीत सेठी के आत्म-जीवन वृत का उल्लेख करते हुए कहा कि सेवा कार्य आनंद की अनुभूति पाने के लिये करें तो सफलता उनके चरण चूमेगी.

श्री होसबले ने सेवा के महत्व को रेखांकित करते हुए कहा कि यह जीवन का मंत्र है. यह जड़-चेतन में व्याप्त ईश्वर की उपासना का माध्यम है. यह किसी के उपकार के लिये नहीं होती. वैसे किसी भी क्षेत्र में काम करना भी सेवा ही है. उन्होंन  इसे वृहद आंदोलन की कड़ी निरूपित करते हुए कहा कि सुदृढ़ और समर्थ समाज सेवा भारती का विज़न व मिशन है. उन्होंने स्वामी विवेकानंद के कथन को उद्धृत करते हुए कहा कि सेवा के रूप में त्याग की अभिव्यक्ति होती है. विवेकानंद ने कहा था कि जो दूसरों के लिये जी रहे हैं, वही वास्तव में  रहे हैं. जो सिर्फ अपने लिये जी रहे हैं, वे मृतप्राय: हैं. सेवा स्वयं और दूसरों को नर से नारायण बनाने का उपाय है. सचमुच, यह दैवी भाव जाग्रत करने में समर्थ है और यह विभिन्न प्रकार के ऋण चुकाने का भी माध्यम है.

इससे पूर्व राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के अ. भा. सेवा प्रमुख श्री सुहास राव हिरेमठ ने बताया कि इस संगम में देश के सभी राज्यों के 707 स्वयंसेवी संगठनों के 3050 प्रतिनिधियों ने भाग लिया, इनमें 2535 पुरुष और 515 महिलायें शामिल हैं. कार्यक्रम के प्रारम्भ में दिल्ली सेवा भारती के अध्यक्ष श्री तरुण जी ने श्री होसबले का स्वागत किया. सबसे अंत में राष्ट्रीय सेवा भारती के राष्ट्रीय महामंत्री श्री ऋषिपाल डडवाल ने आभार व्यक्त किया. मंच पर राष्ट्रीय सेवा भारती के ध्यक्ष श्री सूर्य प्रकाश टोंक भी उपस्थित थे.

Premji at RSS meet welcome gesture.

Wipro chairman Azim Premji attending a convention of RSS-affiliated organisations
and addressing the delegates there is special for an obvious reason. Premji is a Muslim and the RSS is known for its Hindutva worldview, which is considered to give an unequal status to the minorities, especially Muslims. The organisation has always denied this claiming that it does not discriminate between members of any community as long as they are Indian.  It is not a simple and easily accepted claim. When it is subjected to interpretations and conditions that go with it, it is often seen as going against the literal eaning. That is why the RSS’ invitation to Premji to attend the convention is welcome. It is not always that a prominent member of a minority community has shared the RSS’ platform with its top leaders. So, Premji’s attendance of the meeting and the message that he sought to convey there are important.

Premji underlined the need to recognise India as a great pluralistic nation and to accept the differences among its people. These differences may relate to religion, community, language, race or other categories.  The strength and vitality of our nationhood lies in these differences and the common thread of Indianness that runs through them. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat also said that the status of person as a swayamsevak or not, or as a Hindu or not, has nothing to do with the service the organisation is doing for society. He also felt that the organisation should expand further to serve all sections of society.  This welcome attitude should extend to its idea of India also. Bhagwat had recently stated that all Indians should consider themselves to be Hindus. Such a definition would not be acceptable to all Indians. It is when Hindus, Muslims and Christians, or Tamils, Bengalis and Punjabis, and all others consider themselves Indian first and are at the same time proud to maintain their different identities that the nation is strengthened. It is this idea of a pluralistic nation that Premji underlined in his address.

The Wipro chairman also said that he considered it an honour to be invited to the meeting and to be with all those who were dreaming of and working for a better India. It is through exchange of and interaction between different views that ideas become clearer, get reshaped and gain greater vigour.  The very presence of Premji at an RSS function along with the Sangh leaders is a sign of an inclusive India. The importance of that image and the meaning of the message should not be lost.

New Delhi, April 9, 2015: Reacting strongly on the separatists threats & tantrums on the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir, VHP International Working President Dr Pravin Togadia said, “Since 1947 & then again since 1990, Kashmiri Pandits & Sikhs had been brutally killed & hounded by separatists. The brutality, the attacks on families & snatching of shops / lands of Kashmiri Pandits & Sikhs are still fresh in the memory of Bharat. That was a genocidal ethnic cleansing by the separatists whose warm love for Pakistan is all well known. Such traitors have no right to tell Bharat where Kashmiri Pandits & Sikhs should stay, live & do business! The land that belongs to Bharat. Pro-Pak elements have no right to poke their nose in this matter. Releasing Masharrat Alam, then demanding revoking of AFSPA & then trying to even dictate where the rehabilitation of the Kashmiri Pundits are all orchestrated actions by pro-Pak separatists to repeat 1947 & 1990. Bharat will never allow such Jihadi terrorism.”

Demanding complete protection to every Hindu in entire Jammu & Kashmir state, Dr Togadia further said, “The Union Govt & the J&K State Govt should now come up with a specific & Time – Bound plan to not only just rehabilitate Kashmiri Pundits in the valley but also ensure total safety of their lives, properties & business. 3 generations lost everything that they had so far, over 400000 are living like refugees in their own country – Bharat will not allow any more such losses. Since 1990, over 70,000 people have been killed in terrorism in J&K. Human Rights of Kashmiri Pundits in J&K and those who are forced to settle somewhere else in Bharat must be protected with specific action plan. J&K land belongs to Bharat & never belongs to pro-Pak separatists’ fathers! Such separatists should refrain from interfering in the well-being of Kashmiri Hindus failing which, the rest of Bharat will not stay mum. We also demand that the separatists who oppose & call for ‘Band’ etc against the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pundits, should be immediately arrested & tried in a fast track court on charges of Treason & terrorism.”

Dhubri District, Assam April 10: Aiming the upliftment of rural Indian life in villages, RSS Former national functionary Sitarama Kedilaya lead Bharat Parikrama Yatra has reached Nathpura Village in Bilasapara of Dhubri district in Assam on its non-stop 973rd day today.

67 year old Sitarama Kedilaya has now completed this 11,450 kilometers by his mega walk.  The Yatra was started on August 09, 2012 from Kanyakumari.

Bharat Parikrama Yatra had entered Sri Rampur village of Kokrajar District in Assam on March 30th from Pakadi Gudi Village of Alipur Dwar district of West Bengal. As per the schedule, Bharat Parikrama Yatra will travel in North East States including Arunachal Pradesh, the most eastern state of India ill December 2015. In January 2016, the Yatra will return to West Bengal state but continue its journey in Dakshin Bang Pranth and then to reach Odisha in February 2016.

Sunnyvale, California April 12: Vandaneeya V Shantha Kumari, popularly known as Shanthakka, the Pramukh Sanchalika (head) of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, who was here recently on the first visit to the United States of America, rejected the notion that somebody needs to empower women.

Shanthakka said “Women are inherently empowered. What is needed is to realize and recognize this”. She was addressing the Indian Women leaders of Silicon Valley at a dinner organised as part of International Women’s day celebrations.

Rasthra Sevika Samiti, an all women’s voluntary organization, of which she is the current head, has over 6050 chapters in India and runs over 810 service projects including primary health-care centers, rehabilitation centers, hostels for under-privileged children and self help groups, many of them in far off rural and tribal areas.

She held discussions and spoke at different events in the San Francisco Bay Area including at the San Jose State University, a meeting with the leaders of local non-profit organizations working in the field of women and child development, a dinner with women leaders of Silicon Valley and a public event organised by the Indian community. She also interacted with second generation Hindu teenagers born and brought up in America.

Speaking at the public event organised by the Indian community, she stressed on retaining the Hindu identity among diaspora families. She said that it is essential for Hindu families to raise their children with the Hindu values of Seva (service) and said that the Hindu principle of “Seeing god in everything” can only be taught to children if they are encouraged to volunteer and serve the needy. She called upon Indians living in America to bring fame to both India, their “Dharma Bhoomi” as well as America, their “Karma Bhoomi” through their actions and their contributions to different fields they work in.

She said that courageous and selfless women leaders like Lakshmibai of Jhansi, Ahilyabai Holkar and Jija Mata are role models for Indian women and said that Indian culture could withstand foreign aggression and Colonial rule, because women played a pivotal role in protecting, propagating and carrying it forward through generations. She said that her organization was working towards organizing women in India and inspiring them to be leaders and agents of change in the society.
